Looking for a change of scenery in the mountains? Come to Labaroche and take a step up.
Situated at an altitude of 700m, it is a quiet village in the Alsatian Vosges, with its farms and meadows.
Our favourite site is the Espace des Métiers du Bois et du Patrimoine, where volunteer guides put into action, in front of your eyes, machines from the past related to woodworking. At the end of the visit, stop off at their shop to buy quality wooden toys and objects, 100% “Made in France”.
The village is crossed by many hiking trails, which allow you to discover the essential sites such as the remains of the Hohnack, the highest castle in Alsace.
